> Sattdown Jamaican Grill was my first time having Jamaican food. It's pretty close to my home too, so I figured, why not give it a shot? I was pretty impressed with the food. The jerk chicken bbq was pretty awesome because it had a nice smokey flavor along with the spices. A very flavorful chicken. The oxtail was also pretty good. Their drunken coconut shrimp was amazing. This dish really reminds of eating by an island. Haha. Even their festival bread - which is kind of like a Jamaican donut - was really tasty. I want to also add that Chef Tony was also very accommodating and personable. Look out for him when you come here!If you haven't been to Sattdown, check this place. It is considered by many to be one of the best Jamaican restaurants in LA. I believe it. > I love that this place is one of the few Jamaican places in LA; however, every time i come here the chicken gets worse. It's usually not fully cooked (jerk chicken is supposed to be well done), but this time it came out terrible. I forced myself to take a few bites but ended up gagging and threw away the rest. What a waste of $8.

> I go here at least once a week since its so close to my bail bonds business company I own. Food is very authentic, delicious, and family friendly. Watch out for the jerk chicken!!! Its hottttttttt. ya betta be ready! If you man enough! Id go with the brown stew chicken on your first run and the jerk salmon.
