> I filled up at this service station today. Upon filling up, I went to put some air in my vehicle tires. To my surprise, they were asking for 50 cents for air or water. But there was a sign that said that it was suppose to be free for customers. I went to see the cashier, who was annoyed that I didn't understand what he was saying. With enough questions, I got the answer I needed, which was that I had to enter a code. I then went outside to enter that code with no success. I then went back in the verify the code. I went back outside and tried again with no success. I went over to the gas dispensing station and pressed the button to speak to the cashier and I was ignored. I went again to enter the numbers. After six minutes, I went in and asked him if he could help me really fast. He said no and that I needed to enter the numbers 535 harder. I explained that I was pressing hard for over five minutes with no success. Could he just help and he said, "Absolutely not" I then asked for his name, which he said, "go ahead and call the number on the sign my name is Roht (he was pulling his name tag out from his body so I could see it. I then asked for a name and number of the owner. He said his name was Rauge. I asked when he would be in and Rhot, the worker said, "I don't know. He's a busy man" I told Roht that I am a business owner and I am busy too, he said,"Sure you are a business owner. I will I again asked if he could assist me and he said rudely, "No" I might add that there was no one in the store/cashier. I was very condescending, rude and unprofessional.I then got on my phone and called the Sunnyvale police department to come out. The officer went in to talk with him as I stayed outside. I explained to him that my tire pressure was dangerously low and that I needed to pick my handicapped daughter from school. I just wanted to put air in my tires and be on my way. I don't want any hassles. The police officer went to the unit and even said that it would enter a number twice and the slightest touch and some buttons wouldn't register at all. He literally had to put his ear to the speaker to hear anything because it was very low. He got it to work, I used the air and went on my way.Yes, I could have just paid the 50 cents, but by law, they are required to provide it free for customers and by making it almost impossible or being difficult, it just gives them extra income they are not entitled to. In addition, there was no tire gage at all as required by law either. They carry the Chevron name. I will never used another Chevron in Sunnyvale nor will any of our company cars. I know I am just one customer out of many. But I will definitely spread the word to all my customers, friends and family. They shouldn't be able to treat people the way they do without any consequences. It's just a shame the a police officer was willing to do the right thing but one of your workers refused to provide service.
