As far as anyone can tell no one has actually ever built a passenger rated elevator like this with roll-up doors (necessitated by design constraints).  There was no standard detail or prior art to fall back on.  Sun Coast explored the options and came up with an elegant working solution, executed it promptly and stuck with it through the installation and hand-off to make it right.  There was never push back that so many elevator contractors rely on to simply say 'you can't do that'.  SunCoast always replied with 'let's see how we can make this work'.  Even after the system was complete and after several months in service I realized the door speeds were too slow for practical every day use. SunCoast took the lead on finding a faster solution and collaborated with me to execute e a suitable upgrade in a timely efficient manner.  Again an area where no one had ever gone before SunCoast took up the challenge and was not afraid to take the time and effort to make a working solution.  Always a pleasure to work with from management through to installers.  They freely educated me on the proper care and operation of this system and we have had many trouble free and fully functional years of service behind us.  Feel free to come visit anytime.
