We called Aire Serv for an estimate to replace the system.  I was impressed with the detailed plan they presented on how to make our new system more efficient and improve air flow into our home.  A thorough inspection was done to the house checking registers, thermostat, and overall efficiency.  After the inspection, they gave us a detailed bid on what they felt would be the most efficient system to help us lower our heating/air costs moving forward.  They also encouraged us to seek other bids before making a decision.I called 2 other local companies and couldn't believe the lack of effort or knowledge of HVAC systems.  Both bidders basically gave me a price to replace the unit with an updated version of the same one we currently had.  They spent about 10 minutes looking at the unit and gave pricing for a replacement.  No inspection of thermostat, ducting or any questions about efficiency.We made the decision to go with Aire Serv due to their attention to detail and desire to help us save money.  Sure the unit did cost more than the other companies, but the savings we have seen since our system was installed far outweigh the difference in price.
