> Possibly the highest quality level of flight training at Van Nuys Airport. I first contacted Uwe--the owner--years ago and asked him about the price of a private pilot certificate. He was honest right off the bat and let me know that most of the figures out there are significant lowballs. The school is honest and upfront with policies, has a nice lounge, and even has a nice airplane! There are other flight academies on the field but nobody with an airplane as well kept as California Flight School. Uwe also does online ground school courses via Zoom and is always always available for a quick text message if you have any questions. I am doing my instrument rating with him right now and I will probably stay with the school all the way. It's the best most comprehensive flight training I've ever received.
