I stayed 2 nights at the Motel 6, on Harbor blvd, in Ventura, CA.  Cons: No coffee makers in room, no blow dryer, complimentary shampoo / conditioner, or lid on the toilet, found that odd but oh well. Bed spread & blanket were full of cigarette burns / holes. Side walks / stairs really dirty - ice cream spilt and left on the stairs. Heavy police patrol through Motel parking lot and both nights, 1-2 am loud speaker wake ups from Police doing something. Motel room next to mine, 5-6 yound men held a party in the room, cooking on hot plates and all.  The motel was pretty empty but the only language I heard spoken was Spanish.  The pool is gated but right in front where the entire busy 4 lane blvd, (Harbor Blvd) can see eveything you do.  I wanted to go to the pool but did not feel comfortable right next to a major Blvd. The walls are paper thin so if you are a heavy sleeper & just want the room to sleep in, for the money, it's worth it.","rating":1,"date_published":"2010-17-04"}]}
