Our family went to him for years and was satisfied with his treatments. However, recently I went to him for pain in my right foot. He said I had a callous, abraded some off, put a pad in my shoe and sent me on my way in about ten minutes. I specifically asked him if I could continue walking on my treadmill and he said \"yes.\"  I should have asked why he didn't X-ray my foot as it was so painful. He said if it wasn't better to return to the office and he would adjust the pad and I think he said he would X-ray it. I could see that the waiting room was full. When the pain persisted and even got worse, I discontinued walking on the treadmill and decided to see another podiatrist that my neighbor highly recommended. The new podiatrist felt the painful area and X-rayed my foot. He diagnosed my condition as a Jones fracture of the 5th. metatarsal and he is treating it by my having to wear a boot and using crutches. He told me NOT to use the treadmill. Had Dr. Slomowitz done an X-ray at my first visit, it might have saved me the expense of another visit to a healthcare provider and a correct diagnosis & treatment. I called Dr. Slomovitz's office and left a message that I was disappointed in the care that I had received and would not return as his patient.","rating":1,"date_published":"2012-13-02"}]}
